Sound Agreement has the honor of carrying on a tradition in the name alone. Originally registered in the Land O' Lakes district in the late '70s, the name is older than two of its members. Began in 2007 at a Spirit of Phoenix retreat in Prescott, Sound Agreement has been very busy. In its first year, the quartet sang the National Anthem for a Phoenix Sun's game, sang songs for the Spirit of Phoenix show, sang at retirement communities, and for church functions. They entered the FWD Division Contest in 2008 and won the Novice Championship with a 6th place finish. They enjoy mixing up new and old music, and keep their options open to just about anything.

Jim Krones - My next step in my journey through the barbershop world has started with Sound Agreement asking me to join and sing Baritone. The journey
with this Quartet will hopefully be a long and fun journey. My journey started what seems like a short time ago, 29 years and so many songs.
I started singing barbershop in Illinois with my Dad and brother both of which are still singing, my Dad sings with The Westowns Chorus directed
by my brother Joe Krones and my brother also sings with Old School, 5th place International medalists. I was brought up in the Peoria Chorus and
served many positions, including Assistant Director. Most of my time was spent with a quartet named Backstage Applause. We sang all throughout
Illinois for big audiences and small groups also competing and finishing as high as 5th place in the Illinois District. I moved to Arizona in 97 and with my wife and three children. I'm a carpenter and allaround handyman also I'm a Superintendant for a local construction company. I joined
the Phoenicians Chorus which is now Spirit of Phoenix. Baritone has been my choice of voice part for as long as I can remember, it is what I think makes
barbershop what it is "BARBERSHOP"! You can call me the "Old Man" of the quartet but my spirit and voice is as young as this quartet. I am honored
to be a part of this quartet, the next step in my life.

Rodney Armstrong rounds the quartet out singing the low notes. Though he is new to barbershop (recently joined the society in Feb 2007), he comes from a strong a cappella background. Hailing from Topeka, KS, Rodney sang bass with Cadence, a male a cappella group on the campus of Kansas State University, and also sang with a doo-wop quartet called Streetside, based in Kansas City. After graduating from KSU, Rodney moved to Phoenix where he works as a sales consultant working with small businesses.
